Benefits of Eloping
If you are engaged, first of all, CONGRATS!!
It truly is a wonderful and exciting time in life to know you have found someone to share life's joys with. Nothing beats that! Now that you are engaged how do you feel? Are you excited to start planning the big day or are you like some and just got ridiculously overwhelmed? If you are already dreading making a guest list, this article is for you. If you have already planned your guest list since you were a little girl, stick around, there might be some good info to pass along to another bride who is looking for a more intimate adventure.
Let's talk about eloping and some of the benefits that come along with it. Obviously eloping isn't for everyone, but for many couples, it is the best way to go.
The most important thing about getting married is the unity between two people, that's right just two people. Not everyone and their mother needs to be there to take part in something so symbolic as sharing promises to each other. I think there are many people out there that really treasure the intimacy of this, and eloping will take out the stress that a wedding full of people can produce. Don't get me wrong it is really special to share this moment with family and friends, but not everyone's family dynamics are the same. If it is stressful, take that part out of the equation and just enjoy one another.
Eloping to a dream location puts you already on your dream honeymoon! Hello! This one is a no-brainer when it comes to saving money that could be better served towards buying a new home or just staying out of wedding debt. Plus the photos from your wedding will be so incredible. There will be so much beauty in your images that thinking of having a big wedding anywhere else just sounds downright cray.
Lastly, eloping is one of the most romantic options for two lovers. Running off to do something secret together is as romantic as it gets. You only have to worry about the two of you and whatever YOU TWO want to have and do on your wedding day. If you both wanted to have breakfast in bed, sit around a cabana all day while getting ready to head out for a sunset ceremony at the beach, you can!! You can also go to the most expensive restaurant on the island and not have to worry about the catering costs that come with big weddings.
I'm engaged and I think I just talked myself into eloping, LOL!
If a big wedding has always been your dream, by all means, plan one. But if you are dreading the stress of all the plans and just want the day to be about you and your partner, consider the option to elope. I'll be there to photograph your dream wedding day, no matter what!
