Say hello to Jane and Kurt! Let’s start with how I know this amazing couple… Kim, who is Kim James Photography, is an amazing photographer in Lake Almanor, and she just so happens to be Janes mama! I’ve been fortunate to cross paths with her a few years back, and it feels like a full circle. It was an honor when Kim’s daughter reached out to me and asked me to photograph herwedding!

Unfortunately, Jane was supposed to get married on her mom and dad’s property, but because of the fires, they had to make some changes. They’ll be getting married at the new Pheasant Trails Barn venue (I AM SO EXCITED)! Another BIG honor, was the fact that this was the first time Jane had been photographed by someone other than her mother… how cool is that?

This engagement session was one of my favorites. Not only because Jane and Kurt are a fun couple to be around, but also because Kurt got really into the session! Every time I asked him to do anything, he replied with HELL YES! & that’s what I am talking about… making this whole thing so fun! More on their funny and adorable engagement session - they popped a bottle of champagne, and I sadly missed the cork popping out, so Kurt threw it in the air and I got a good shot of it haha. They’re so easygoing and fun to work with - I can’t wait for their big day!
