Jamie and Matt's Wedding
Oh what can I NOT say about Jamie and Matt's beautiful Chico Wedding.
Although my couples and I spend countless hours before their actual wedding day discussing details and creating their timeline, I still never know what I am really going to expect when I arrive to start photographing them.
I show up to where Jamie and her bridesmaids are getting ready, it's at one of the bridesmaids homes, and I am floored by this adorable and totally stylish home. It was eye candy for me as a photographer, so many unique and interesting decor to incorporate to this part of the day. I was greeted with warm and welcoming smiles, these women really cherished one another and you can totally feel that these women meant so much to Jamie. I feel like I say this a lot when I write, and maybe that is why creating images is so much easier for me to show you what it is I am feeling, but I cannot express the love I saw all through out this day. So much love and thoughtfulness was put into creating a beautiful morning for Jamie, it was just so cool. What wonderful friends and family she has.
I could say the same for when I showed up to photograph Matt and his crew getting ready. I know from experience that guys are the ones that get ready rather quickly and are usually on the "when are we supposed to be getting ready" train. But I have to say it was so pleasing to walk into the house seeing all these guys already almost dressed and ready to get the show on the road. I could tell instantly that Matt was so ready to marry the woman of his dreams and his guys were just as helpful and on top of their game to get him to the alter on time, it was very endearing.
We all met up at HoneyRun Covered Bridge to take a moment and create images of the bridal party before the ceremony and to just kinda relax and soak up this beautiful place. This bridge holds such history and Matt and Jamie really wanted Chico as an expression of who they are and share this with every one of their guests.
They shared some really special ways to bond each other in their ceremony. Rings (of course) a unity candle and a memory box, where they put loving words in as something they can look back and remind themselves of this special and loving day. A lot of times I get so into capturing these moments that I'm kinda in my own world but I did stop for a few moments and listened to the story about how Matt enrolled into a class that Jamie was in just so he could meet her and get to know her. Is that not out of a love story or what, ughh it's so romantic!
One of the cool things about being an employee at Sierra Nevada is that they let them rent out the Big Room for your reception there. I have been here numerous times for their concerts but never for a special event like this. I was so honored I got to photograph here, I wish and hope to be able to do this again one day!
