Kapoor Wedding
This first wedding of the year for me started off with Lakshya and Lindsey's special day. These two met with me a while back. We had an incredible engagement session together up at Billie Park in paradise. We chose this location because these two love to hike and wanted to have a feeling of being on an adventure with a beautiful elevated vantage point. During that session I could see a very sweet bond between the two of them. They were incredibly respectful to each other and you could just tell that they valued each other in a way that was so moving. It made you wish you could see people love one another like this more often. I think that is one of cool things about coming together to celebrate the unity between people like this. It creates hope for those looking to have love in your life like these two obviously share.
Their Ceremony was held at the St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Chico. We then made our way over to the Palms where they carried out the rest of the festivities and reception. One of my favorite details of their wedding day was Lakshya's Sword he wore with his traditional garments. The sword represented protection for his bride. I just love the story behind it and how it was worn by the men to be armed and ready to protect his new wife from thieves and robbers. During times when you would travel far to wed and then have to make your way back home with all the wedding loot, hoping to not get robbed along the way.
All the Vendors did an incredible job to make Lindsey and Lakshya's wedding day super special and I want to thank all of them.
